Update on the 1st of October 2022

Dear Patients,

There are no restrictions with regards to medical treatment and you are actively encouraged to keep your appointments. Routine dental treatment is essential health service, so routine care including examination, hygiene and treatment appointments will continue as before.

Current Protocols for attending a dental appointment at Witney Dental Practice:

  • Do not attend dental appointments if you are Covid-19 positive. Please call reception as soon as you test positive to reschedule.
  • Please notify reception if you have any symptoms or have been in close contact with someone with Covid-19 and they will advise accordingly.
  • Complete portal questionnaire 24 hours before your appointment.
  • Wear a face mask/covering whilst inside the practice. (this is not compulsory, but preferred)
  • Sanitise your hands on arrival and exit.

At Witney Dental Practice we have all the necessary PPE and will continue to follow our high standards in cross infection control. We can reassure you that with all our robust protocols, the practice remains safe to all our patients and staff.

You will receive a link to your patient portal 24 hours before your appointment is due. This contains a Covid-19 assessment for you to complete, to declare that you are not knowingly Covid-19 positive and symptom free.

Please try not to arrive too early for an appointment due to space restrictions in our waiting reception and attend appointments alone where possible if you are not in need of a chaperone.

When you arrive, we request that you wear a mask or covering at all times whilst inside the dental practice. This is a request and not a compulsory requirement, you will not be instructed to wear a face covering, however we would appreciate your cooperation and we are happy to provide a mask and sanitiser on your arrival.

We will continue to ventilate the surgeries and reception area, so we do apologize if it is a bit cold throughout the winter months.

Safety remains priority for our practice whilst continuing to provide you dental care as normal and we will continue to take our responsibility seriously to help our community get through the winter period.

This policy will be constantly reviewed and updated as necessitated by circumstances over time,

Another happy patient

No pain, no problems, had a needle fear but Andy was amazing. Would definitely say he’s the best. My partner had an extraction with Andy and she said he’s fab!   Thank you
