Dentures
Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. They help restore function (like chewing and speaking) and improve appearance. Here’s a concise overview:
Types of Dentures
Complete (Full) Dentures
Replace all teeth in the upper and/or lower jaw.
Partial Dentures
Replace some missing teeth.
Attach to remaining natural teeth with clasps or precision attachments.
Implant-Supported Dentures
Snap onto dental implants embedded in the jawbone.
More stable than traditional dentures.
Can be removable or fixed.
Process Overview
Dentures are created in multiple appointment stages, usually 2 weeks apart. In some cases a digital scan can be used instead of impressions, subject to suitability.
